Welcome to Maud ISD
Maud Independent School district is a strong, vibrant school located 18 miles west of Texarkana on Highway 8, in the southwest part of Bowie County. It nestles in the piney woods of Northeast Texas, just 5 miles from the wonderful fishing area, Lake Wright Patman. Maud has all the advantages of being a small community and is minutes from the shopping areas of Texarkana and New Boston. The school offers a small school environment where students and teachers are partners in the learning process. The school offers a small school environment where students and teachers are partners in the learning process. With a pupil/teacher ratio of 11 to 1, students are given the individual attention needed for them to excel. Standards are high and the school has a reputation for expecting much from students who expect much from themselves. Maud ISD has an enrollment of approximately 475 students in grades PK-12, where students are housed on one main campus location. The professional staff of 50, a counselor, a curriculum director, 2 principals, and the superintendent work closely with students. Each student is encouraged to develop personal skills and to learn proper behavioral patterns, which will make each a responsible member of society. The sincerity and familiarity among the students and staff create an atmosphere that is personal and relaxed, making it easy to become involved at Maud Schools. A student entering Maud Schools for the first time must be officially withdrawn from the last school attended and is required to furnish a copy of his/her birth certificate, immunization record, and social security number. Choosing the right community and school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your family. Maud ISD encourages parents to consider the city of Maud and Maud I.S.D. when making that community and school choice |
